Push Notification Toggle crashes app

Night Owl HD does not allow me to turn on push notifications. The app crashes. Im using an iPhone 5s running iOS 7.1.

No it doesnt work !! I installed the app like 3times and still the same not connecting. On the support videos it seems sooo easy but it does not work. Called the costumer service and they told me that nothing will be done , they cant help. Whats the point of creating something that is useless?!? Just to make people upset ??

Bad app; night owl lite is better!!

I purchase a 1080p system for a better experience, but it has been opposite when it comes to monitoring with this app. Its very slow and now it has stop working with-in 4 weeks. The night owl lite work so fast and almost perfectly ever single time I tune in, it was what u call perfect. I would go back but I sold the system. Sad to have night owl pro

From great to not so great

Installed six cameras two weeks ago. Everything went well and everything was working good. Including push notifications. Push notifications and the overall ratings were the main reason I purchased this system. Guess I should have paid more attention to the negative comments. The push option just stopped working two days ago. Keep getting same error message to try again later. No push notifications makes this system useless to me. Very disappointed!

Written by a 5 year old?

Bought the system and installed it yesterday. The video quality is great, however it does me little to no good! The manual seems to be written by a 5 year old, but my 5 year can talk and write better than these instructions! Havent figured out how to use the push option yet, main point of buying this system. Hasnt worked yet even though I have turned it on. Navigating this app is kind of a pain. Feel it could be easier...

I love this system and app!

I purchased the Night Owl HD system back in 2015 and it has not let me down yet. This app is much better than the Lite app, never a failure and access is fast.

iOS App Does Not Connect

I installed the hardware a couple of weeks ago. Hardware all seems to work fine. Annoying is the need to input your systems password every time I want to access anything. The keyboard on screen in very tiny and I would like it if it would only ask to log in if there was a power failure or unplugged. What??? Apples security isnt good enough? I set up the mobile App on all my iOS devices. It worked great for a couple days. Again though, the mobile app would not show any camera feeds unless I went to the device manager and entered my password. Every time and on every device and for each and every camera feed individually. Now I get a "failure to connect" message on all my iOS devices. None of the settings have changed. I get a "device already exists" message if I try to re-setup the device. But it still fails 100% of the time on everything. So the app gets an "F" for everything from me. The interface is very user-unfriendly, it constantly and unnecessarily asks to log in, and keyboard is ridiculously tiny. I give up. This app is completely unusable. It is a local-only security camera system.

Yes this app is a piece of shit..I'm always out of town and that's the reason I bought this night owl system ..it worked for awhile but then it just stopped ..I have done everything possible for me to view on my iPhone like I use to but I'm going on 3 months now with out it on my cell.. it's fixing to go into my outside fire place in a month.. wish we could spread the word to stop this company from selling their junk and warn other ppl from spending their hard earn money on this crap

Great app

Dont know what people are talking about not being able to see away from home I have never had a issue thats what the scan is for it sets it up for you ... App works great I think people just dont know how to setup app... For all reading trust me the app works just fine never had a problem ever

The app will not work with the new iPhone update. Apple says that night owl as to update their software.

You need to start invest in your app

Guys I just bought a nice camera setup from you Im very happy with it but you need to do something about the app is not working. If you dont want to make it work please take out the option of monitoring via Internet. There is no point of having it! You losing the reputation... And is a shame because you guys have a good recording station with good quality....

I found a fix

The piece of crap app wouldnt work. Finally figured out you can not have more than 8 characters in your password. Sounds stupid but true. Now it works perfectly fine. If it gets stupid on me again Ill update this review. If you find a helpful trick to your piece of crap app, pass it along!

Only works half the time

Mobile viewing is not working again! Every couple months I cant view the cameras on my mobile devices. On and off all the time.

Very Terrible App

I dont think Ive ever written a review about an app but felt strongly compelled to do so in this case. This app requires that you select which device youd like to view every time you open it. As if the developer assumed that everyone would have several systems to monitor. There needs to be a default device checkbox which automatically loads that device. Also, I have 25Mbps at my house and 15Mbps at my business. The playback speed of the footage is crippling. If I want to find something that happened a few hours ago its literally 5 seconds of buffer time to 2 seconds of play time. Guess what? Remote playback requires you to select a device every time as well. On my phone, I can only view one channel at a time in remote playback mode. So one might think that you would be able to swipe through channels when trying to look back at something. Not the case. You must back out, select a new channel, select the date and then try to put the tiny curser back on the desired time EACH time youd like to look at a new camera. Also, just a note about the equipment itself, its not 1080P HD. Its not even 720P. Its so granulated that I literally cannot identify people. If I had to use this footage for insurance purposes, identifying an individual would not be possible. Spend your money somewhere else.

This app is a mess.... I paid $600 for the night owl hd1080 and the camera system is too early to review but the app didnt take too long to find out that nothing works.

Works but needs polish

In general the app does its job. The main pet peeve I have is the same as other folks. It forgets the device you chose so you have to keep picking it to view your cameras. You also cant order your channels a certain way and save that layout. The dev really needs to invest more time in the app. Seems like common issue with these camera companies.

Seems as if company doesnt care about customers

Come on nightowl! Get with it! Give your paying customers an update! Im about to contact the better business bureau for your lack of caring

The worst support ever

Company claims 24 hours support although their center very limited and not 24 hours , edit for hours and it disconnect . Cheap products and cheap service ... You get for what you pay for , I rather spend more money for reliable brand and good support .

Need update ASAP

This app is not good very slow and locks u out what a pain night owl need to update soon

Junk

Used to work ok, slow to connect. Remote connection was iffy, now almost impossible. I always get an error that says database error.

It only worked for a couple of days. It now says "connecting..." And nothing
